Official Guidelines

IKIGAIRULEBOOK

Please read all rules carefully before participating in IKIGAI 2026. By registering, participants agree to comply with these guidelines.

01. Eligibility

  • Open to undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma students.
  • Participants from all disciplines are welcome.
  • Recent graduates may participate.
  • Team size: 2 – 4 members.
  • Individual registrations are allowed but team formation is recommended.

02. Registration

  • Registration must be completed before the deadline.
  • All participant details must be accurate.
  • Team leader will represent the team.
  • Registration is 500 INR per team.
  • Organizers reserve the right to verify information.

03. Project Rules

  • Projects must be developed during the hackathon.
  • Existing libraries, APIs and frameworks may be used.
  • Previously built projects are not allowed.
  • Teams must maintain originality.
  • Source code submission is mandatory.

04. Submission

  • GitHub repository link required.
  • Presentation deck required.
  • Working prototype preferred.
  • Demo video may be requested.
  • Late submissions may be disqualified.

05. Code of Conduct

  • Respect fellow participants and organizers.
  • No harassment or discrimination.
  • Maintain professional behavior.
  • Follow venue and safety guidelines.
  • Violations may lead to disqualification.

06. Judging Criteria

  • Innovation & Creativity – 25%
  • Technical Implementation – 30%
  • Problem Solving – 20%
  • UI/UX & Presentation – 10%
  • Impact & Scalability – 15%

Important Notes

  • • The decision of judges and organizers shall be final.
  • • Organizers reserve the right to amend rules if necessary.
  • • Teams must submit projects before the announced deadline.
  • • Any plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification.
  • • By participating, teams grant permission to showcase project details for promotional purposes.
